Well, I'll be the devil's advocate here and say that, although this stuff is pure Black Mirror-like nightmare fuel in almost every way, such questions would be the only truly useful thing to come out of this tech. Talking from experience, my divorce made me understand myself much more than I'd managed to for most of my life until then. We do tend to forget unpleasant moments, and often that's good, but we also tend to bury our own mistakes in the past and shift all the blame for a failed relationship, whatever that may be, to the other party. Selective memory can be very good for our egos, but very bad for us as a person.
Most people avoid taking responsibility for their mistakes in a failed marriage (whether they were bigger or smaller than that of their former partner) and it's a shame, because, we only grow and learn by failing at things. Often, after a divorce, apart from some (hopefully) good memories, the only thing you can take away is your shortcomings and the incentive to fight them. An AI that could sift through your own words and serve them back to you, raw, would be a good thing in this case, I feel.
