I am prejudiced against such people, because pretending to be something you're not to garner sympathy, votes and financial gains is, simply put, fraud. Consider what the backlash would be if any white person pretended to be black, in order to get involved in black activism.

Having gender dysphoria is an entirely different thing from someone assuming an identity for the sole reason of profiting from it. When doing that, you capitalize on the rights of people who have gender dysphoria in order to gain something you otherwise couldn't. Can you imagine an NBA draft reject suddenly announcing that they're a woman and going to compete in the WNBA instead? They wouldn't just have an unfair advantage, but they would also take the place of a female athlete who has worked hard to get to the top of her chosen field. That's not "freedom", that's impinging on someone else's freedom.

These people are not only frauds, but they actually hurt the cause of trans rights for their personal gain.
