An extremely unpopular opinion. I know all about it, I published my own take on the Biden presidency some time ago and I didn't receive a single clap (unlike anything else I've written). Spoiler alert: I thought then that he should step down and let Harris steer the ship. I can't possibly imagine how it could be worse. Even rallying around Ukraine wasn't enough to make a difference in the polls for him. He's a likable figure (even though I rooted for Sanders myself) but a half-senile grandpa is absolutely not what the US and the world needs right now in the White House. Not being Trump can only get you that far. Russia is jumping into bed with China, it's the absolute worst thing that could happen short of nuclear war and the POTUS is calling for a regime change? There just aren't enough facepalms. Trump might be saying the most outrageous, idiotic things he's ever said so far and it seems to me that it won't matter in the least in the coming elections. And another Trump term in 2024 will be an unmitigated disaster.
Thanks for this, Mitchell. At least I feel less crazy now.
